Ormond Medical Center with over 30 years of service to the Ormond Beach has now become Ormond Family Medical Center (OFMC). Our mission is to provide the highest quality of holistic and traditional healthcare in an atmosphere of compassion and professionalism "where we treat patients like family".
Your not seeing things! Yes, the name has changed and we are under new management. Ormond Medical Center (OMC) is now Ormond FAMILY Medical Center (OFMC), a family health medical office run and owned by autonomous nurse practitioners practicing evidenced-based medicine and who focus on the whole you and what's important to you. We are a multidisciplinary practice, offering preventative health services, acute and chronic simple or complex disease management, weight management, simple procedures, chiropractor, acupuncture, laser therapy and more.
Our experienced medical professionals put your healing needs first. We are proud to provide a high quality level of customer service, medical experience, and commitment to health and wellness to all our patients but with a hometown feel. Not the assembly line factory tone of chain health care clinics. Here we treat our patients as family. Our goal is to make you feel better as quickly as possible with care compassion and a personal touch.
With years of experience, our medical team will assess you and create a custom recovery plan that's right for you. We understand the importance of educating you on the most effective ways to take care of your body, so that you can heal quickly. Here at OFMC, most of our providers are autonomous nurse practitioners with a physician also on staff. In the US and in the state of Florida, both can serve as primary care provider. This gives the community of Ormond Beach diversity in choice in how treatment is received. Despite the difference in title, physicians and autonomous nurse practitioners (commonly referred to as NPs) are more alike than you think. Where a physician has had extensive years of training (well beyond an NP) with in-depth focus to diagnosis disease/illness and treat, an NP is trained to have a focus on disease prevention, health education and counseling. These unique assets engrained in an NP's education enhances the clinical interaction with patients. Whether you choose to see one of our NPs or our physician on staff, you can be sure that you will be seen by an experienced provider that will deliver the care the way that best fits your needs.
