Autonomous Nurse Practitioner 

 Stephanie Sanchez has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2010 and has been in the nursing field for more then 20 years and is one of the few Autonomous Nurse Practitioners in Florida. Before becoming a nurse practitioner,   she worked bedside through hospitals in central Florida including Multi-System and Neuro-Surgical Intensive Care Units, as a team leader in rapid response teams and in many leadership roles.  Eventually becoming the lead nursing educator developing many protocols and procedures still used today as best practices throughout the Florida Hospital Systems.  She is dual board certified with the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC) and a Family Nurse Practitioner ( FNP-BC). Stephanie is the lead provider at Ormond Family Medical Center and serves as the practice director.  While you can find her at Ormond Family Medical Center most weekdays, on the weekends you will likely find her in the ICUs of Advent Health Hospitals. 

      Stephanie graduated from the University of Florida with her Masters Degree in Nursing and attended undergrad at Adventist Health University in Orlando, Florida.  Received her post-masters certificate in family practice from Herzing University.  She has extensive experience in both critical care and family practice as well as  palliative care and end-of-life care. Stephanie has a unique combination of nursing skills and medical skills that blended together provide the unique care that you will find no where else but Ormond Family Medical Center.  She believes in building a long lasting and trusting relationship with patients and their family.  She seeks to acquire a comprehensive evaluation of every patient by taking time to listen and understand their particular needs as well as engaging her patients in taking an active role in their healthcare decisions.
