NURSE PRACTITIONER Fellowship and Mentorship Program

We are now offering a Fellowship and Mentorship Program. We will provide advanced professional training, mentorship, and practical business ownership experience to an autonomous Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Florida who desires to transition into ownership and operation of an independent medical practice. The provider will receive hands-on education and mentorship from an experienced Nurse Practitioner practice owner, educator, and advocate for Nurse Practitioner business ownership.

  • Medical office management
  • Value-Based Care implementation
  • Accountable Care Organization (ACO) participation
  • Staffing and human resources management
  • Financial planning and budgeting
  • Credentialing and payer contracting
  • Leadership development
  • Compliance and operational systems
  • Patient retention and growth strategies
  • Business development and strategic planning
  • Insurance reimbursement structure
  • Clinical workflow optimization
  • Healthcare entrepreneurship

Benefits and Expectations

The provider will become an employee at Ormond Family Medical Center. We will incur costs related to:

  • Credentialing assistance
  • Enrollment and onboarding
  • Administrative setup
  • EMR training
  • Billing systems training
  • Operational education
  • Mentorship time
  • Business development instruction
  • Clinical integration
  • Revenue cycle integration
  • Compliance education 

We may assist with credentialing as stated above. As an employee you may also gain 2 weeks paid vacation annually, along with paid holidays which will be outlined in an agreement. Additional benefits may also apply.


The provider will be expected for maintaining the following below along with the costs for:

  • Florida licensure
  • DEA registration
  • Board certifications
  • Continuing education
  • Required professional certifications

Providers will be compensated as an employee of Ormond Family Medical Center. The program lasts 18 months and may lead to eligibility for a higher paying permanent position at Ormond Family Medical Center.
